The Bengalis are avid fish lovers. There is nothing more they would like than a bowl of their local fish curry and a mound of rice. But they do love a multi course meal and lentils always feature. This dish is known as Cholar Daal, it is a delicious curry, harmonious, creamy and nutty.
Ingredients
  • 1 packet of The Spice Tailor Bengali Coconut Lentil Daal (lentils included)
Method
  1. Heat 1-2 tbsp. oil or ghee in a small non-stick saucepan, add the whole spices and cook for 20 seconds.
  2. Add the lentils and a splash of water.
  3. Bring to a simmer and serve.
