DELIVERY

Delivery Charges

Our standard postage cost is £3.00 per order. We offer free delivery on all orders of £25 and over.

Delivery Time and location

Delivery is currently only available to the UK. All Orders placed through Our Site will normally be delivered within 2 to 3 days after the date of the Order Confirmation unless otherwise agreed or specified during the Order process (subject to delays caused by events outside of our control).

If we are unable to deliver The Spice Tailor Products on the delivery date, the following will apply:

  • If no one is available at your delivery address to receive The Spice Tailor Products and they cannot be posted through your letterbox or left in a safe place nominated by you, you will be asked to rearrange delivery by the delivery agent;

  • If you do not collect The Spice Tailor Products or rearrange delivery or the delivery agent cannot contact you or arrange redelivery or collection, we will treat the Order as cancelled and recover The Spice Tailor Products. If this happens, you will be refunded the purchase price of The Spice Tailor Products themselves, but not the cost of delivery. We may also bill you for any reasonable additional cost that we incur in recovering The Spice Tailor Products.

If we do not deliver your order within 5 calendar days of the Order Confirmation (or as otherwise agreed), if any of the following apply you may treat the Order as cancelled and therefore the Contract as being terminated:

  • We have refused to deliver The Spice Tailor Products; or

  • In light of all relevant circumstances, delivery within that time period was essential; or

  • You told us when ordering The Spice Tailor Products that delivery within that time period was essential.

If you do not wish to cancel or if none of the specified circumstances apply, you may specify a new (reasonable) delivery date. If we fail to meet the new deadline, you may then treat the Contract as being at an end.

As soon as you have paid for your Order, The Spice Tailor Products in that Order will belong to you and they will become your responsibility as soon as they are delivered to you.

RETURNS

Cancelling your Order

By law, we must provide goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, as described at the time of purchase on Our Site, (unless we have made you aware of any differences). You can cancel your Order:

  • If we fail in our promise to deliver you goods fit for purpose and there is a problem with what you have received;

  • If you change your mind within the first 14 days of you placing the Order (otherwise known as the cooling off period); or

  • After the cooling off period, under our 100% satisfaction guarantee.

When cancelling an Order and returning any of The Spice Tailor Products, you should not have broken the seal or damaged the packing in any way that would prevent us from re-selling the goods.

Refunds will be made using the same payment method you used when placing the Order. In each case, whether you get back your delivery charges or if you have to pay for returns will vary so please read these terms carefully. In all cases, we will issue refunds (whether in part or whole) within 30 days of the day we agree to your request to cancel your Order and refunds will be made using the same payment method you used when placing your Order.

Cancelling your Order where there is a problem with your Order

If any of our products you’ve purchased do not comply with our promise above or, for example, are badly damaged when you receive them, please contact us at contact@thespicetailor.com as soon as reasonably possible and in any event within 30 days to inform us of the problem, and to arrange for a replacement. We always strive to offer you a replacement, but in the event, you want a refund, please let us know.

Please note that if the problem is something we had already told you about at the time of your purchase or as a result of normal wear and tear or you have used them in a way not recommended, we may not be able to accept your request to cancel your Order. To return The Spice Tailor Products to us for any reason under this section, please contact us at contact@thespicetailor.com to arrange for a collection and return. It will be your responsibility to return them to us. We will cover the cost of returning The Spice Tailor Products back to us and refund you for any sums paid for those returned goods together with the cost of delivery if you paid for it.

Cancelling your Order within the cooling off period

Please note that, since we do not consider any of The Spice Tailor Products as perishable and nor do we offer subscriptions, you will have a right to change your mind and cancel within 14 days – which is given to consumers under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 201 and is otherwise known as the cooling off period. The cooling off period begins once your Order is complete and we have sent you your Order Confirmation. This is when the Contract between you and us is formed. You may also cancel for any reason before We send the Order Confirmation.

In addition:

  • If The Spice Tailor Products are being delivered to you in a single instalment (whether single or multiple items), the legal cooling-off period ends 14 days after the day on which The Spice Tailor Products are delivered to the shipping address stated on the Order Confirmation.

  • If The Spice Tailor Products are being delivered in separate instalments on separate days, the legal cooling-off period ends 14 days after the day on which the final instalment of The Spice Tailor Products are delivered to the shipping address stated on the Order Confirmation.

In this instance, we will be fully responsible for the costs of returning The Spice Tailor Products back to us. Standard delivery charges paid at the time of your Order will be reimbursed in full as part of your refund unless we offered free delivery with your Order in which case you will not be eligible for refunds on delivery costs. Please note, however, that we cannot reimburse for premium delivery. We are required by law to reimburse standard delivery charges (or the equivalent) only.

Cancelling your order as part of our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee

If, after the cooling off period, you are still not happy with your purchase, please contact us at contact@thespicetailor.com as soon as reasonably possible and in any event within 30 days of purchase, to inform us of the problem, and to arrange for a replacement or refund.

Please note that for unused, unwanted goods, we reserve the right to charge you for the delivery of returning The Spice Tailor Products back to us.
